The universal meter 81775 with a manual range for each measurement allows for basic and advanced electrical measurements. The LCD display, housed in an adjustable angle frame, can be set to a convenient working position.
Basic measurements:
- AC voltage measurement: A.C. 0-750 V
- DC voltage measurement: D.C. 0-1000 V
- AC current measurement: A.C. 0-20 A
- DC current measurement: D.C. 0-20 A
- Resistance measurement: 0-200 MΩ
- Diode test: IF 1mA, UR 1.5 V
- Continuity test: 0-100 Ω
Additional measurements:
- Capacitance measurement: 0-200 μF
- Transistor hFe test: 0-1000, built-in measurement socket
Measurement accuracy:
Example of determining accuracy for AC voltage measurement. Calculations for the measurement result: 235 V
- The accuracy of the 81775 meter for this range is: ±(1.2% + 5), resolution 1 V
- Error calculation formula: (measurement result x 1.2%) + 5 x resolution
- Calculations: (235 x 1.2%) + 5 x 1 = 2.82 + 5 = 7.82 V
The result considering the measurement error for the reading of 235 V = 235 ± 7.82 V*
- The result considering the measurement error for the DC voltage reading: 12 V = 12 ± 0.146 V
- The result considering the measurement error for the AC current reading: 8 A = 8 ± 0.3 A*
A table with resolution and accuracy for the given measurement can be found in the user manual.
*The 81775 meter does not have a true RMS measurement function, therefore the above result is accurate only for a proper sinusoidal waveform.
Built-in functions:
- DATA HOLD - retains the currently measured value on the display
Additional information:
- LCD display, maximum displayed result: 1999
- Audible signal in the continuity test for resistance below 30 Ω
- Automatic switching from diode test to continuity test at resistance below 100 Ω (the meter cannot be set only for diode testing)
- Measurement probes included
- Design with overload protection, 20 A measurement socket without a fuse
- ABS plastic housing + a so-called holster, which is a rubber case protecting the meter from mechanical damage
- Automatic shut-off after 15 minutes of inactivity
- Low battery indicator
- Power supply: 9 V battery (6F22)

Note!
When measuring unknown values using a meter with a manual range adjustment via a knob, measurements should be performed sequentially from the largest range down to the range that provides the most accurate result - otherwise, there is a risk of damaging the device.
