Additional information about the Hot-Air handle <click here> The YT-82458 2 in 1 soldering station with hot air is made using ESD-safe technology, which ensures that excess electrostatic charge does not accumulate on the housing. This reduces the risk of damaging sensitive SMD circuits. The soldering station heats up to the working temperature of 350°C in approximately 15 seconds, and the hot air reaches the temperature in about 10 seconds.
The temperature stabilization function allows the soldering iron tip to maintain the set temperature in various heat demand conditions for proper soldering joints. Depending on the size of the soldered element and the soldering area, the tip releases more or less heat, and the device continuously reads the actual temperature of the tip using the built-in sensor and adjusts the power consumption to maintain the set temperature. The best results with this function are achieved by selecting a tip with an inner diameter as close as possible to the heater's diameter. We recommend tips with an inner diameter in the range of 4.0 to 4.5 mm
The device hibernation function allows the soldering station to enter a standby mode, automatically reducing the operating temperature to 200°C. This prevents unnecessary heating of the tip, significantly extending its lifespan. The YT-82458 model, specifically the soldering station module, will enter sleep mode after 10 minutes of operator inactivity.
The automatic cooling function combined with the hibernation function allows the hot-air module to cool the nozzle to 100°C and then enter sleep mode. After completing work, the operator should place the handle in the plastic holder with a built-in sensor, triggering nozzle cooling and automatic hibernation. Lifting the handle from the holder automatically activates the hot-air module to the pre-set parameters.
The sensor failure detection function enables auto-diagnosis of the electronic circuits necessary for the proper operation of the device. The station performs self-diagnosis upon power button activation and displays an error message in case of issues.
